Financial Aid

FINANCIAL AID IS VERY DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN.   IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN HALF OF THE MONEY SAVED UP CALL MANAGER TOMMY MCDERMOTT AT:  561-346-2816.  He has some "Tuition Options" for you.

Utah Valley University (UVU) -- Helicopter Academy is affiliated with UVU’s Global Aviation Degree Program, this means you are able to earn a two- or four-year degree while learning to fly with helicopter academy and make your parents happy, too!  You will attend classes online while attending flight and ground school with us. You will receive credit at helicopter academy for some of the classes you take online. Your workload will be increased, but if a degree is a part of your goal and/or you are having trouble financing, UVU may be right for you with great financing rates because of the college affiliation. The best part is UVU’s financial assistance program. You can apply online for financial aid (and scholarships) at UVSCAviation.com or by calling (888) 901-7192.  Call 561-346-2816 and talk to our instructor Brett Woods about his personal experience with this great program.

The school does offer financial aid to students but only to those who are
seeking  a degree in aviation. In order to receive any financial aid from
the school the student will need to make academic progress which mean taking
at least 6 credits.  If they are not making progress they will not be able
to receive financial assistance.

I have found that many rotary wing schools have the same concerns, the cost
is much higher than fixed wing and students are not able to finance it all
on their own. There are many different options for the students, there are
many different loans and grants as well as scholarships available to them.
True, the loans will more than likely not pay for everything but it will aid
them as they work toward their degree.

In going to University status the amount we are able to disburse has
changed. The most any student is able to get is $13,800.00 per semester.
most of the loans the students get are private but that is not their only
option. If there are any students who have further questions regarding their
options for financial aid they can call the financial aid department
directly at 801-863-7860 of toll free at 1-877-336-8872. I hope this has
helped answer your question. Have a great day and thank you!
